History
- The Birman cat originated in the country of Burma. In about 1919 a pair of
Birman cats were shipped to France and from here the Birmans were
established in the western world.
Colors and Coats Types Available - A Birman is a color pointed cat
with a long silky coat which very seldom mats as it has no undercoat. They
have white feet and come in a variety of colors including the seal, blue,
chocolate, lilac, lynx points, reds and torties. The Birmans have beautiful
blue eyes!
Grooming and Care - They require very little grooming
and an altered cat has very little shedding.
Best
Suitable Environment - The activity of this cat is average and they like
other pets and humans as their companions.
Personality Traits - Gentle, active and playful but
quiet and unobstructive if you are busy.
They like to be where ever you are..sometimes referred to as
being like a puppy.
