History
- The Ragdolls were originated by Ann Baker of Riverside, California. It is
believed the breed was created in the early 1960's. A white Persian-Angora
named Josephine was out crossed to Birman and Burmese cats. Kittens from
these breedings were carefully line-bred to give us these large beautiful
Ragdolls.
Colors and Coats Types Available - Ragdoll fur feels just like rabbit
fur and is quite silky. This normally medium to long fur doesn't mat and
there is minimal shedding. Ragdoll patterns are colorpoint, mitted, bicolor,
lynx, tortie, and torbie. There are several colors seal, blue, black,
chocolate, lilac, red or flame, cream, and white.
Grooming and Care - Grooming is kept to a minimum. A good combing
once or twice a week is all that is required.
Best
Suitable Environment - Ragdolls are indoor cats as they are very docile.
They are a very laid back cat and are often described as having puppy like
traits. They love to be hugged, handled, held and share in what you are
doing.
 Personality Traits - Ragdolls can relax completely
and go limp in your arms. They are loyal and want to share in what you are
doing, They are smart and can be taught to fetch, roll over, sit up and beg,
and shake hands. They love to play and are not destructive by nature and
have soft voices.They are wonderfully patient with children, dogs, and other
cats.
Ragdoll cats are quiet affectionate and calm kittens who
love to play and are quite alert. Their sweet easy nature makes them
suitable for companions for any type of living environment.

These kittens are absolutely adorable and TICA registered. We have two stunning, EXTREMELY RARE seal sepia lynx male kittens, one of them mitted. Sepia kittens are very hard to find, but a sepia kitten with the lynx pattern is unheard of… very rare and unique. Sepia kittens have the softest, plushest coats out of all of the Ragdoll coats. Sepia kittens will produce 100% mink and/or sepia kittens when bred. These two little guys have long, fluffy, bunny soft fur, and they are both super affectionate, laid-back, friendly, and sweet. They both love to play and cuddle. Born on April 25, and ready to go home on or after July 4.
Health is of the utmost importance to us, and all of our cats are fully health tested, and disease free. All of our cats are also verified to be clear of HCM through DNA testing.
We strive to produce mink, sepia, and solid kittens with the most beautiful, softest, and plushest coats; and the most beautiful, richest coloring. Our mink and sepia kittens are DNA tested with UC Davis to confirm coat color.
Our Ragdolls at Fancicat Farms are NEVER caged... they are all spoiled members of our family, and live in our home with us. All of our kittens are raised underfoot with lots of love and attention from our family, which includes three children ranging in ages from 7 to 16 years old.
We are members of TICA, and all of our cats and kittens are TICA registered.
