When Kiarra received an emergency call about a dog tied to a dumpster for three long days, she felt a pang in her heart and knew she had to act swiftly.
Upon arriving, she encountered a pup who gazed at her with sorrowful eyes, eager to be taken to a place where she would be cherished.
Rescue Mission
Given the pup’s friendly nature, Kiarra quickly placed her in the car and headed to Stray Rescue Of St. Louis.
With her gentle and affectionate demeanor, it took only a few hours at the St. Louis shelter for the hopeful pup to find a foster home.
“I was just drawn to her, so I decided that I would like to go ahead and foster her,” shared the pup’s new foster mom, Kendra.
New Life
Named Asami, the dog embarked on a journey to her new life.
Asami adapted quickly and enjoyed being with her foster mom, always staying close and following her everywhere.
She just has a rough time being left alone. If I close any door and we are on opposite sides, she will whine, howl and bark.
Even for her bathroom trips, Kendra had to accompany Asami into the backyard and wait for her to finish.
Gradually, Asami began to feel more at ease doing things on her own and being alone.
Her latest joy is playing in the snow!
She loves the snow—running and leaping around in it.
Kendra cherishes the time spent with Asami and is grateful to provide a nurturing and loving environment, helping Asami get accustomed to human presence and ready for her forever home.
