A Chance Encounter
A young, blind kitten named Echo was brought to a city shelter after being found on the streets. Treated for a severe eye infection, her sight couldn’t be saved, but her life was spared. Volunteers from Saving Grace Rescue stepped in, eager to find her a foster home.
Echo’s resilience was evident as she adapted to her new world, relying on her other senses. When Joyce, a dedicated foster volunteer, picked her up from the shelter, she was greeted by a curious and spirited kitten ready to explore her surroundings.
Echo quickly settled into her new environment, mapping every corner of the room. Her ears perked up at the sound of another cat, leading her to an unexpected encounter that would change her life forever.
Before Echo’s arrival, another kitten named Itty Bitty had already found refuge in the foster home. Rescued with a fractured leg, Itty Bitty was on a journey of healing and comfort, unaware that her life was about to intertwine with Echo’s.
An Unlikely Friendship
Echo’s excitement was palpable when she heard the paw-steps of Itty Bitty. She dashed towards her new friend, eager for a playful introduction. The two kittens instantly bonded, tumbling and wrestling as if they had known each other all their lives.
“They started playing with each other right away on the first day,” Joyce shared, watching the instant connection between the two.
Echo followed Itty Bitty everywhere, her blindness never hindering her enthusiasm. They created endless antics, playing non-stop until exhaustion set in, only to cuddle up together for a well-deserved nap.
Itty Bitty would curl up beside Echo, who would shower her with affectionate licks and purrs. Their bond grew stronger with each passing day, their companionship filling their foster home with joy.
Inseparable Companions
Echo and Itty Bitty became inseparable, always side by side like two peas in a pod. Echo would follow the sounds of Itty Bitty’s tippy taps or cheerful chirps, sharing every adventure and mischief.
When the time came to find their forever home, it was clear they were a package deal. The rescue knew that separating them was not an option.

Found as strays and in need of healing, Echo and Itty Bitty found solace in one another. Their hearts became whole, and their future filled with love and adventure.
