An Exhausted Dog
When an animal rescuer observed a dog wandering near a bus stop, it was evident that he required assistance.
The rescuer noticed the dog was extremely hungry and fatigued. She decided to follow him to uncover his destination.
They soon arrived at what appeared to be a parking spot, where a small bed lay with a bowl of stale food beside it. This was where he had been living.
After inquiring with local residents, she discovered the dog had been abandoned and refused to leave, still waiting for his owners.
The poor dog clung to the hope that his owner would return, unaware of the harsh reality.
The rescuer knew he couldn’t stay there, so she decided to take action.
With the help of others, they carefully placed him into her car and headed to the veterinarian clinic for necessary care.
A Road To Recovery
At the vet, the dog remained surprisingly calm, enduring the medical procedures without a fuss.
It seemed he had become accustomed to such treatments, likely from previous experiences.
Initial examinations revealed worms and psychological issues due to prolonged harsh living conditions.
The vets prescribed medications for home use. Once settled in his new home, the rescuer offered him some food.
He vomited after eating, so she gave him liquid food, which he tolerated well.
Nevertheless, the vomiting persisted. She took him back to the vet for an ultrasound, and the results were concerning.
A Brand-New Start
He was diagnosed with stomach inflammation and poor kidney function, causing frequent vomiting.
The veterinarians decided he needed to stay for a few days to receive proper treatment. His rescuer waited anxiously.
Eventually, he was discharged from the hospital. His rescuer, now his new owner, decided to buy him some tasty dog food.
Back at home, she realized he needed a new name, so she named him Ryzhik.
Despite the trauma of being abandoned, Ryzhik was finally on the path to recovery.
He could now enjoy life with someone who genuinely cared for him and would never leave him behind.
