A Fort Worth resident stepped outside, unsuspecting of the astonishing discovery that awaited her. Hearing strange squeals, she followed the sound to find a thin, white dog nestled in the mud. The dog’s eyes were full of sadness, but a startling revelation lay at her feet.

The woman’s heart broke seeing a litter of tiny puppies huddled close to their mom. The fragile pups were covered in mud and shivering. They needed immediate help to have any chance of survival. The woman quickly contacted Erica from Saving Hope Rescue.

When Erica arrived, the mother dog’s eyes shone with hope and gratitude. Finally, help had come for her and her babies. Erica transported the family to a vet for a check-up, and then Saving Hope Rescue took them into their care.

Saving Hope Rescue shared on Facebook, “Mom is extremely sweet and grateful to be saved.” The mother was named Evelyn. They needed a foster home urgently, and Cassie Evans opened her home to the family.

Cassie and her family bathed them, showering them with love and care. Evelyn’s demeanor changed, her ears perked up in the warmth of her new surroundings. She could now focus on nurturing her pups in a loving environment.

Both Evelyn and her puppies thrived in their foster home, gaining weight and energy. Evelyn lovingly nursed her puppies for six weeks until they were strong enough to move on to another foster home.

The pups soon found forever homes, ready to embark on new adventures. Meanwhile, Evelyn moved to another foster home, where she continued to receive affection and care.

A New Beginning
